Science

Every Cardin student is required to complete a three-year sequence of laboratory science. The program stresses mastery of the fundamental factors of scientific literacy, as students learn via an inquiry-based method of scientific study and research. Laboratory work is central to all courses. Here students learn the requirements of documenting observations, collecting and recording data, and drawing valid conclusions.

Our science courses enable students to:

  • synthesize information
  • make interdisciplinary connections
  • apply knowledge and understanding to real world situations
  • develop a sense of inquiry as a method of solving daily problems

We offer two sequences are offered to accommodate students’ backgrounds abilities, and give them the opportunity to complete college-level courses that meet their individual needs and interests.
