Cardin's health and physical education curriculum is designed to give students the confidence and motivation to improve and maintain active, healthy bodies, minds, and lifestyles. In addition, instructors and coaches encourage students to challenge themselves in new activities throughout life.
Physical Education is an invaluable part of a Cardin School education. Co-educational classes are structured to develop physical fitness, agility, self-esteem, and good sportsmanship. Through a developmentally appropriate program, students strengthen skills, build endurance, enhance coordination, enjoy greater camaraderie, and build the foundation for a lifetime of physical activity and fitness. Because Cardin emphasizes self-improvement, inclusion, and cooperation, each student can participate at his or her own skill level and thereby gain the confidence and pride that accompanies achievement.
Our curriculum also includes units on health and healthy living, focusing on the social, emotional, and physical challenges that teenagers face.
