Humanities

At the Cardin School, we take great pride in our strong and integrated Humanities department. The department views languages, social studies, and the arts as vital to every student’s academic career and their ability to function effectively in today's society.

But in a greater sense, the study of Humanities makes us more truly human in the best possible connotation of the term. In addition, instruction in the Humanities is by nature interdisciplinary: General studies classes incorporate the arts, western civilization courses reference literature studied in English classes, and history classes blend both general and Jewish experience. Through this approach, students gain a much broader and richer appreciation of the expansive tapestry of human knowledge and achievement.
