Holidays are the high points of the Jewish calendar. Their themes, values and traditions teach us to celebrate and to mourn, to laugh and to cry, and provide us with a context to experience the vicissitudes of life.
The various holidays, related activities, and programs are designed to help our students connect with the themes and values of each holiday so that a personal and memorable experience becomes imprinted on their hearts and minds. Music, song, art, dance, writing, prayer, study, ritual, and drama (all components of our holiday celebrations) are powerful mediums for the expression of religious thought and feeling, and they contribute to our school’s sense of community.
