At the heart of The Shoshana S. Cardin School are the dedicated lay leaders who serve on our Board of Trustees. These esteemed men and women of the Baltimore community give voluntarily of their time and talents to help guide the overall direction of our school. Their steadfast leadership and financial support enable the Cardin School to continue to grow and thrive.
Howard Rosenbloom is Executive Director of the Ben and Esther Rosenbloom Foundation and President of the American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise. Mr. Rosenbloom serves on the Hillel Board of Governors and the Board of Governors of The Technion Institute of Technology in Israel where he received an honorary fellowship. Mr Rosenbloom is on the Executive Boards of the Jewish Community Center in Baltimore and the University of Maryland Hillel. He is on the boards of the Institute for Christian and Jewish Studies and The Associated Jewish Federation of Baltimore. He is past president of Jews for Judaism, a board member of the Jewish Funders Network, the Council on Jewish Philanthropy and serves on the advisory committee of the Baltimore Hebrew Institute. He received his B.A. from Washington and Lee University and MBA from Wharton. Mr. Rosenbloom has a core commitment to Jewish youth and a strong future for the Jewish people. He is married to Michelle Gelkin Rosenbloom, M.D., and has two children and three granddaughters. Mr. Rosenbloom succeeds Dr. Arlene Bearman, who continues on the Board.
